Famous beaches One of the most famous beaches of Goa is the Anjuna beach, also famous for its flea market and rave parties. If not quite the capital of the hippie world, Anjuna Beach was at least a leading travel destination for the Woodstock generation. It was once the most celebrated of Goa's beaches. The next stops for beaches in Goa are the Baga and Dona Paula beaches that can make any beach holiday a memorable one. If you like a little isolation to watch the sun go down, Baga beach is just the place for you. 10-km west of Mapusa, Baga is basically an extension of Calangute. Lying in the lee of a rocky, wooded headland, the only difference between this far northern end of the beach with the rest is that this Goa beach is marginally more speckled and charming.
Romantic beaches Goa has forever been a honeymooning destination and a lover’s paradise. Beaches Goa has a quaint unidentifiable romantic charm to them which attracts romantic couples to it. Bambolin beach, not among the famous beaches in Goa, is a small, clean, largely undiscovered beach, in a shaded spot before the mouth of the river Zuari. The entrance to the beach is easily missed and lies along the hill between Goa Medical College and the Goa University. The beach offers an exotic location to enjoy a moment of togetherness.

Goa is a paradise for water sport lovers. Beaches in Goa offer a wonderful opportunity to indulge in all sorts of water sport activities. A number of government and private organizations including hotels and tour operators conduct regular water sport activities including training courses at a very nominal rate for tourists.
